How Do I Join?

1. Be a Man of Good Character

Freemasonry places heavy emphasis on:

• Honesty

• Integrity

• Responsibility

• Moral Conduct.

You do not have to be perfect, but you should have a reputation for being trustworthy and respectful in your community.

2. Believe in a Supreme Being

Freemasonry is not a religion, but members are required to believe in a higher power.

The lodge does not dictate:

• What Religion You Follow

• What Name You Use For God

• What Holy Book You Believe In

Men of many faiths have been Freemasons, including:

• Christians

• Muslims

• Jews

• Others Religions

3. Meet the Minimum Age Requirement

In Texas, applicants are generally required to be:

• At Least 21 Years Old 

(Unless you had previously been in the Knights of Pythagoras)

4. Be Recommended by Masons

Typically, you must:

• Meet Members of the Lodge,

• Attend Public Events

• Build Relationships

• Receive Recommendations From Current Master Masons.

5. Submit a Petition

A formal application is submitted to the lodge.
